Fees

A standard consultation is 50 minutes in duration. The consultation fee is $262 (Clinical Psychologist) or $244 (Registered Psychologist).

 

The APS recommended fee is $300 for 2023-2024.

 

Fees are to be paid in full (EFTPOS or credit card) on the day of consultation.  

 

Mental Health Treatment Plans

Our psychologists are registered providers with Medicare. Please discuss with your GP about whether you are eligible for a Mental Health Treatment Plan which allows you to claim a Medicare rebate for up to 10 sessions in a calendar year (January-December). Often GPs prefer that you book a longer consultation for the assessment and preparation of a plan. You will need to bring your Mental Health Treatment Plan to your first appointment. After 6 sessions, a review with the referring doctor takes place. The doctor can then authorise for additional sessions if required.

 

Private Health

Private health insurance (with Psychology extras) may also cover psychology consultations, although the rebate will vary according to your cover/fund. Please check this with your private health fund. Please note that you are only able to claim each consultation from either Medicare (with a Mental Health Treatment Plan) or your Private Health, not both.

Assessment Process

We value providing high quality treatment and will not compromise client care by practicing beyond the scope of our expertise. As such, we conduct thorough initial assessments (generally over two sessions) to ensure we have a good understanding of your difficulties, goals and the most helpful treatment approach. Should it become apparent during this assessment phase that we are not best placed to meet your treatment needs we will discuss this with you and do our best to provide you with more suitable referral options.
